  1. Certainly, the integration of science and technology has caused, and continues to dictate, profound changes in how the world works, how people think, how they educate, feed, clothe, shelter, entertain, and govern themselves, as well as, how they relate to others and with nature.
    Technology has become the major factor in production and productivity, in commerce and trade, in disease prevention and cure, in the preservation of health and heightened quality of life. How do you feel about this?

  2. This is a most profound statement especially when referenced in the special education context. Children who are born with exceptional physical difficulties are being better understood because of breakthroughs being made in the field of medical science not doubt with the use of modern technologies. Scientists and researchers are now able to pinpoint with some degree of accuracy, the cause of varying types of physical challenges for example cerebral palsy. With the eruption of increased knowledge with the use of modern technology have been able to provide new information to guide educators in the field of special education in treating with learners who are born with or develop exceptionalities.

WE no longer want to do th etraditional things such as using a grater, catching coal stove or even washing with our hands, so much is technology, but let us look at a good side, it as certainly make the work load easier to handle.

  7. Technology is definitely the way to go. There is a learning curve to becoming proficient in technology integration, but once the skills are learned and activities are identified and located or developed, teachers find that technology can actually reduce preparation time and provide meaningful learning experiences which have positive implications for students

  10. Technology has greatly impacted productivity and the commercial world in both good and bad ways. However, the past few decades has shown us that technology seem to be doing more bad than good as it pertains to the environment. How many animals whether endangered or not have lost their homes due to the ravages of technology. In African countries like the Congo tribal wars have been waged and millions of people made refugees due to the valuable mineral the Western world uses to make cellular phones and other technological devices. The Earth's ozone layer is another victim of the technology we love to boast about. Due to harmful chemicals and substances created through technology people are at serious risk of getting skin cancer because of the massive hole now in the Earth's protective layer. Yes, technology is great and this greatness comes at a high cost.

  11. indeed, technology does come at a high cost but it is used to our advantages. Task that took days and months now take seconds and minutes. this is also evident in the education sector where it continues to even have numerous advantages to both teachers and students.

  13. Technology does come at a high cost but,from empirical evidence and feedback of teachers, there is a general
    consensus that IT can be applied effectively in learning and teaching, e.g. –
    (a) IT can be a useful tool for students to explore and collect information, e.g.
    for project-based learning;
    (b) IT can assist teachers in preparing assessment and tests;
    (c) IT can facilitate communication among schools, teachers, parents and
    students;
    (d) multimedia learning resources can help explain abstract phenomena and
    arouse students’ interest to learn; and
    (e) where the teachers have a clear focus on valuing student-centred, inquiry
    oriented learning and the use of IT as a means to curriculum innovation,
    exciting pedagogical practices can emerge.
